We welcomed Assistant Professor ZHU YUNXIN and enjoyed a picnic under the cherry blossoms to strengthen our bonds.
Our lab members ZHANG HONGJIAN (D3) has been awarded a doctoral degrees, and Rika Mizuno (M3) has been awarded a master's degree. Congratulations! In addition, Rika Mizuno received the “Program Leader Award in Agro-Bioresources Science and Technology".
We celebrated the graduation of ZHANG HONGJIAN (D3), who will be awarded his doctoral degree, and Rika Mizuno (M2), who will be awarded her master’s degree, on March 25.
The 2025 “BEST FACULTY MEMBER Award Ceremony” was held. This award recognizes faculty members who have achieved outstanding accomplishments in the fields of research, education, and social contribution. This year, 26 faculty members were selected. (University of Tsukuba Homepage)
We are pleased to announce that Prof. Yingnan Yang, the supervisor of our laboratory, was selected as a BEST FACULTY MEMBER and was presented with an award plaque at the ceremony. All members of our laboratory extend our heartfelt congratulations.
The environmental engineering course briefing session was held for Agro-biological Resource Sciences students at University of Tsukuba. Sensei and lab members introduced the research contents at the session. The students actively participated and were interested in the presented research, curriculum, and campus life.
On January 22, the "Tsukuba Biomedical Engineering Forum 2026" was held at the Tsukuba Center for Institutes. From our laboratory, An Guangqi (Researcher), Yu Jie (D1), Gong Jiaxiang (D1), and Rika Mizuno (M2) participated and presented posters.
On January 22, Professor Yingnan Yang delivered a talk at the Workshop on Multicultural Co-learning in USA/AUS/NZ on the theme of “Social Impact and Waste Management.”
We held a combined Christmas and year-end party. We also took the opportunity to welcome our newest lab members, PIAO RENYU (research student) and Kippei Tasaka (B3), making it a very lively gathering. While enjoying delicious food and getting to know each other better, we also had a great time with a bingo tournament featuring gifts brought by everyone.
Our lab members Wen Wei (M1) has been received the Certificate of Achievement of the Dean of Degree Programs in Life and Earth Sciences. Congratulations!
