Our lab member Ming Jie (D2), Zhu Yunxin (D2) and Sun Mingyuan (M1) participated in the summertime online symposium of Young Researchers in Biotechnology 2021, held by the Society for Biotechnology, Japan. Zhu Yunxin received the excellent presentation award. Congratulations!
The environmental engineering course briefing session was held for Agro-biological Resource Sciences students at University of Tsukuba. Sensei and lab members introduced the research contents at the session. The students actively participated and were interested in the presented research, curriculum and campus life.
This spring, LIU NA (JSPS fellow) will be an associate professor of university. Four lab members including Ma Qiansu (D3), Chen Jiayan (M2), Emi Tsuyuki (B4) and Minami Yano (B4) successfully graduated from University of Tsukuba. Ma Qiansu received the “President Award”. Emi Tsuyuki received the “provost Award” of the Life and Environment School. Congratulations! A farewell party for all the graduates and welcome party for freshman Hikaru Morinaga (B3) were held simultaneously.
At the Society of Chemical Engineers Student Presentation, 23th Annual Meeting (online), our lab member Minami Yano (B4) gave her presentation, and received the excellent presentation award. Congratulations!
Our lab member MING JIE (D2), ZHU YUNXIN (D1) and CHEN YUJIA (M1) participated in the 9th colloquium of Eastern Japan Branch of Society for Biotechnology (online). The conference including the poster presentation and discussion. At the colloquium, we received the constructive comments and advice not only from an academic aspect but also the industrial point of view.

The lecture meeting including the oral presentation andstudent’s discussion. At the seminar, we received the constructive comments andadvice not only from an academic aspect but also the industrial point of view.
At the Water and Environment Technology (WET) Conference 2020-online, ZHU Yunxin (D1) won the WET excellent presentation award with the research title “A Light-assisted Bioprocess with Optimized Illumination Condition for Efficient Methane Production from Ammonium-rich Waste”. Congratulations!
