The aim of Genetic Resource Science and Technology is to develop a harmonious field combining experimental life science and bioinformatics so as to utilize a variety of genetic resources on the earth. The education focuses on training students in basic research and application containing the following items: (1) basic research on species diversity and biological molecule function, (2) basic research related to construction of bio-resources such as genetic sources, (3) R & D of technologies required for establishing biological resource database, and (4) application to new drug development and breeding.



2. Bioindustry and Bioscience

The aim of Bioindustry and Bioscience is to achieve a novel field of bio-industrial application and to educate students being skillful in practical industrialization. The research focuses on developing science and technology in various aspects including animals, plants and microorganisms which will lead to a harmonious living proposition between human and living environment. The education focuses on training students to be capable of succeeding in taking charge of global business in resolving various problems related to safety evaluation, intellectual property and social acceptance of human resources products.



3.  Eco-system Technology 
The aim of Eco-system Technology is to facilitate an adequate recovery of disordered ecosystem, and to promote control technology in living environment and to maintain a sustainable development of human beings. The research and education comprises elucidating the process for the causes of ecosystem distortion such as complicated energy flow on the earth, the material circulation and various pollutions, collecting accurate information on ecosystem dynamics, assessing as well as analyzing influences thereof. 



4. Biorsourse Development Technology 

The aim of Bioresource DevelopmentTechnology is to establish a food engineering including development,maintenance and circulating use of process, mechanical equipment and advancedmaterials related to food, agricultural products, and various biologicalresources from the biomass to food functional components. This field will leadto the sustainable human beings development and global warming prevention. Theeducation focuses on introducing a system-incubation method to transferstudents to the skillful specialists capable of contributing themselves tosociety by constituting and analyzing the optimal system with the acquiredtechnology.
